topic Loop GPU Cache in Maya Forum

Is it possible to loop animation in a GPU cache? I don't see any options like "speed" or "offset" or "cycle type" that I see in alembicNodes.

Hi!

That's maybe part of the optimization.

Import as Alembic instead.

I was hoping to take advantage of realtime playblack that I get with a GPU cache that I don't get with alembic. I'm using it as a convenience for animators in later stages of our pipeline so they can see timing of the animated geo. In this case I just cached out a large frame range, but I was hoping to optimize file size.

Hi!

Sorry, i can only guess why it's not possible.

You might add this to ideas for Maya.
