Scene file empty

Hi,

I've been working on a scene on MAYA 2018 for six months and everything was going well until now.

Recently I have started to have some problems with the scene: when I set the project and click ctrl+s the program asks me where to save the file and when I select the right folder it relocates the texture changing every object in the scene.

But the real big problem is that when I'm done working on a scene I turn off the pc and when I turn it back on and open the file I was working on, the the scene is empty, it is like I haven't saved before. . I have tried to load the scene through Maya's authomatic backup but the problem persist.

I was desperate so I have tried to format my pc and reinstall the software but nothing changed. This is my thesis project and if I can't solve the problem I won't be able to graduate.
Can somebody help me please?

Try Saving your scene file in Documents\maya\projects\default\scenes

I hope that's help

What type of os you use?

Windows 10.

But is there no way to fixed the file or get anything off this? (lighting for example)..

Is there's error message when you trying to open scene after rebooting ? or it's just it's empty ? can you send me a screenshot of maya log file so I can help you

Have you tried to update your may to 2018.2 ?

Hi mspeer,

I've been having the same problem with an animation I'm working on, any new version of the file I save now end up empty once I re-open. I noticed on multiple forums that you might have an answer to this issue. Would you be able to assiste me?
