"Requested service not available..." when launching or signing into Autodesk program on macOS

Maya 2023. Maya closed overnight without me quitting the program. Then I tried to relaunch. All of a sudden, I'm getting the "Requested service not available..." message when I launch Maya. (see pic.) I looked for a support document and found one with the title above. It instructed me to download:

Autodesk Single Sign-on component for macOS

When I attempt this, the download fails:

An error occurred while processing your request.

I'm out of options and can't use Maya. Help requested.

Inexplicably corrected. I tried launching again, and it opened.
