Changing size on image plane crashes Maya

Hello everyone,

I am learning Maya LT with a student license and I am running a tutorial, didn't get very far as in the tutorial they ask me to change the size of the newly imported image on the image plan.

As soon as I touch the `width` or `height` in the channel box the application freeze for 20 seconds and then crashes.

PS I am using it on MacOS - is Maya stable on MacOS?

Btw if for some reason you diden't get the question, how can I stop the error from happening? 🙃

I can change it through the attribute editor without it crashing 👍
