You need to right click your model and select Material Attributes.

From there there will be nodes like Transparency(opactiy) and Bump mapping(normal) that you can assign textures to.

What do you mean it didn't work?

Can you please provide some screenshot of your scene so I can see whats going wrong?

Also do you have shaded display enabled and lights enabled? You can view your textures by pressing the 6 key and you won't notice a normal maps detail unless you have a light in the scene and you have enabled your lights by pressing the 7 key.

Just to make sure, is there a light in the scene when you pressed the 7 key?

If there's no light then the model will appear black.

If there is a light and you're still having this issue, when you get a chance please zip and attach the scene file here or via dropbox/google drive or another file sharing program so I can take a look at it.

Hi @mikhailkonstantin3d

Thanks for sending me the files.

I opened it up and had no issues with the textures.

Model when rendered with Maya hardware

Model in the viewport with lights on

One problem might be what you're rendering with. If you want to render with arnold, you'll want to convert all of the materials to arnold materials and then add lights and do a test render.

If you are rendering with Maya hardware/software or some other renderer, you'll need to check your render settings to make sure you aren't set to use Arnold as your renderer.

thanks a lot .. questions .. first did you put the model inside a sphere ?! if yes maybe this is the problem i have .. second .. with your maya hardware renderer the eyewear seems to be white ? not glass ! .. or it is because of the light reflection maybe ?

I used Arnolds Skydome Light which is the sphere you're seeing.

And yes the glasses look white because I didn't go through and set up all the shaders I just did a quick test to make sure it would render properly.

You might want to look up some tutorials and documentation on materials and lighting in Maya.

Solid Angle the creators of Arnold have some good ones here that should help you!
