need to crack shatter tutorial

hi guys;

I googled all the day to fine some guides to create a crack on the ground by "Crack Shatter" effect, but there was nothing. specially for maya 2018

anybody can help me or show me a tutorial or ....?

I want to create something pretty similar to this one:

The one you shared was made with a plug-in so doing this in native Maya can be a bit more challenging.

it was very useful and now I'm working on it;

but the problem was, my version is 2018 and I think this is version 2012, so finding the menus was a little bit challenging.

Anyway, with great gratitude to solve my problems.
