Fatal error when saving project

Hi need some help,

I have Maya 2018 and it is crashing everytime I try to save a project. I was using Maya this morning and it was saving my project fine until now. I even tried a new scene thinking it might have been something to do with my scene but it still crashes when saving.

There was a Windows 10 update lastnight, could that be causing some issues?

I have attached a screen shot of the Fatal Error message.

Hi @Anonymous and welcome to the community!

Is there an error report when your Maya crashes? If so please fill it out and let me know what the CER report number is so I can look it up in our log.

There have been some saving issues lately caused by a dll file you can check.

You'll need to locate the file and move it to a new location, or rename it. The file can be found on the C: drive:
C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\igdlh64.inf_amd64_250db833a1cd577e )

Finally, if that doesn't help the Windows update may have caused this issue which then means you'll need to perform a clean uninstall/reinstall of Maya.
