Hi!
Thanks for helping! I solved the first problem. However, after converting to interactive grooming from Xgen, the grooming is just like frozen. The density modifier doesn't work...here is the video I recorded: https://youtu.be/EFK2CcFgVMM

Maybe the faster way is going back to Xgen then increase the density?
Sorry, I have one more question is that: can I paint mask maps if I change the UV to UDIMs tile? Because I need to adjust UVs bigger for some close-up shots...
I saw another post about this question, I'm wondering whether Maya can do it or not now?

I really appreciate your help!

Hi everyone,
I have two questions about interactive grooming:
Firstly, I cannot see the grooming in the viewport. I have to turn on its wireframe or see it from the render buffer, does anyone know what's going on? 😞

The second question is that I converted the fur from core Xgen to interactive grooming by this tutorial. Is it possible to adjust density after converting? I tried to adjust to higher density, but it seems doesn't work.

Hi @Anonymous and welcome to the community!

1. Do you have the preview(eye) icon enabled? You can click this to refresh the viewport to see if the fur appears. If that doesn't work, you can go to Windows->Settings/Prefs->Plugin Manager and unload/reload the Xgen plugin.

If that still doesn't work, you may want to try reimporting your collection onto the model.

2. Did you use the density tool after converting? This should increase the density of your fur.

Please let me know if anything changes!

Hi @Anonymous

Hmm I think because it was converted that yes you may need to increase the density first and then convert it to IGS.

As for the masks, as far as I know the paint tools still don't support tiled UVs so the easiest way is to still use UV sets like mentioned in that post you linked.
