Hello,

I am trying to make a marble, i have places a cube inside and through my sphere, i wish to keep the the faces and volume of the cube that appears inside the sphere only. I figured this would be a great use of the Boolean but i am unable to make to keep the correct faces. Any help would be appreciated.

ted.

The boolean is not giving me my desired result. it is removing parts of my sphere as well, regardless of the mesh order or choice of boolean!

Try different settings , it should work, change the order of selection too .

Or duplicate object and do it in two parts, ball and cubes.

Union is not removing the faces outside of my sphere so it is not the solution i required however using a duplicate of the sphere and an intersect i was able to use the copy of the sphere and the product of the boolean to have my result, its not quite what I'm looking for but it will do for now!

Thank you!

Well done, but now you see you could have just used a sphere and 2 cylinders to do this from the very beginning.

There's always a simpler way.

Best.

I am getting the results i wanted with a duplicate sphere and a boolean intersect, i can make more complicated shapes for my marbles.

Thank you!
