Maya 2018 Crashing when opening a file

Maya 2018 is crashing when I open a file.

It works fine when building a new scene.

The only way I could open my scene was to import it.

I have completely uninstalled & reinstalled 2018 twice.

Would be amazing if I could just find out why.

I have tried creating a scene with just a sphere and a light, still it will not open, just crashes.

Driving me nut's.

Please help

Hi @Anonymous and welcome to the community!

So the crash only happens when trying to open the scene but importing it works fine yes?

Once Maya closes, does it show a CER Error report for you to fill out? If so, please fill out the report and let me know what the CER number is.
