Uv Selection Issue

Hi, I've been using maya for a while now since version 2016 and im currently using the 2018 version and on each version of maya when it comes to Uving i initially can drag marquee around shells but after a few selection im unable to drag select anymore and the options in the screenshot appears. Dont know whats causing this but anyone know how to resolve this bug as its becoming quite annoying now because ive got to fully close maya down and restart it so i can drag select again.

Hi @Anonymous

A quick test you can try is double clicking on the selection tool and hit Reset Tool.

If that doesn't help you can try deleting your settings/preferences.

Please let me know if anything changes!

when it goes like that i try resetting my selection but still the same and i deleted my preference folder the other day but it still happens.

narrowed it down a little seems to happen after only using the "3d cut and sew uv tool"

If you make a new scene with a basic cube does this still happen?

Can you possible post a video of the issue cause I'm having trouble reproducing it?

If you need a video capturing program, Screencast is a great option that we use here at Autodesk
