Preview error when activate the smooth mode and move a vertex twice.

hello!

i am student and i have a special problem:

(see for yourself)

I'm guessing it's an interaction between Maya (2018.4) and my system (macbook pro 15' mid 2012 2,3ghz i7 - ssd, 16gb ram). But I can also be totally wrong. Does anyone have experience?

Hi @Anonymous

Its hard to tell if this is an error because it depends on how your models geometry is in standard mode not preview. Also it's not really recommended to model in preview mode as it doesn't always give an accurate preview of how the models topology will look when smoothed.

When you get a chance, can you please zip and attach the scene file here or via dropbox/google drive or another file sharing program so I can take a look at it? If the file is confidential or under NDA please send it to me in a private message instead of posting it here.
