UV editor super slow!

I have 50 UDIMs in my scene and it takes ages to select and move one UDIM, it's very slow!

Sometimes when I try to select and move one of them I get this error:

// Error: file: C:/Program Files/Autodesk/Maya2019/scripts/others/texturePanelMenus.mel line 2298: Object's name 'MpolyTexturePlacementPanel1UVSetTooManyObjects' is not unique. //

I don't have History and there is no transformation on the objects and I don't have symmetry on and I don't have anti-aliasing on.

Why is it so slow?

I've been waiting for 5 min after I clicked on "Set" from Texel Density! Seriously?

Autodesk please fix the UV Editor, it has serious issues.

The UV mapping is painfully slow for me as well, also I see that Maya uses only about 25% of the CPU processing capacity. Any reason why this might be happening?

try to delete maya's prefs file from your document folder.
if already done sorry.

Me too, Maya 2019.3, the UV editor is sooooo slow~~~, I found it will read the textures, which textures are on the network disk, so I disable "display map" in the UV editor, it has no help. But you can put your texture on the local drive, that will be better. But it still a bad UV editor experience.

Exact same issue, the difference is that I write this in 2023 and issue not fixed! Nor any solution 😞 Hold back the job very much
