Hi!

I can confirm this for locked rotation values (didn't think you can also rotate when locked).

I also tested scale to complete this and it's the same problem as for translate.

Please report this problem (bug?) to Autodesk.
In Maya main menu:
Help -> Speak Back -> Report a Problem

How to lock a stereo camera?

If I lock the transform attributes of a stereoCamera rig and then do either of the following:

touch the greyed out rotation handle,

attempt to orbit the stereoCamera whilst looking though it,

the whole stereo camera rig spins around like crazy. I cannot undo this transformation. I would love to know if anyone has a suggestion about how to get around this problem. I really need to be able to lock the camera down to avoid accidental nudges.

Thanks.

Its a bit beyond me trying to find out what parameter may be feeding into the rotation channel and causing the crazy spinning.

I can't seem to find any great solution to rendering (non-spherical) stereo content with Maya. Adding Keys to all the camera transforms and making sure 'Auto-Key' is turned off does help prevent unwanted camera nudges.
