Is there any other good renderer that works in Maya on MacOS with eGPU and realtime rendering you could suggest? Both my internal and external GPU are AMD on the Mac.

Hello, I am planning to use Arnold using an eGPU like for example Blackmagic to extend my iMac Pro capabilities. I wonder if Arnold works with eGPUs in Mac? will this make any difference? I am using Cinema 4D.

The macOS version of Arnold doesn't include GPU rendering, so it doesn't matter if you have an eGPU

Arnold GPU will be on macOS when both NVidia drivers and Optix are shipped for macOS (so whenever NVidia and Apple sort it out between themselves)

what about with windows running on bootcamp? Any hitches with running an eGPU (sonnet?) with an Nvidia card on a MacBook pro?

Redshift renderer works very well and is very fast on Mac with egpu and AMD graphic cards
