Is Maya 2016 still supported?

I have a perpetual license for Maya 2016, and have upgraded it to Ext 2 SP3, but it constantly crashes on my Mac Pro with Catalina 10.15.1. Is it still supported or is it obsolete?

I do have a subscription to the newest Maya, but sometimes I just need to do some basic modelling and don't need to pay for the subscription every month.

Only the last three versions are supported.

Maya2017 upwards until Maya2020 gets released.

do you have any crash info to help understand where the crash is occurring ?
CER number ?

Apple Crash Reporter file: /Library/Logs/Diagnostics or ~/Library/Logs/Diagnostics
Nvidia or AMD graphics ?

with Catalina one may need to add Maya to some of the newer security/privacy entries
Accessibility
Full Disk Access (may be for just 1st launch)

Files and Folders

I just installed the latest 2016 build on a iMac Pro, and it launched without issue

I found a solution. I upgraded to the Service Pack 6 and now it works normally. I don't believe this update was available when I first posted about this, but I'm glad it is.
