Hate to bring this up again, but I uninstalled 2024 recently because I wanted to replace it with 2025. I did exactly that, but upon installing 2025, I ended up running into the same I was having with 2024. It also doesn't seem to matter if I install it from either link because neither work.

After realizing that 2025 wasn't behaving, I ended up uninstalling it to go back to using my 2024, but low and behold, it also stopped working as well and started giving me the same sign-in issue as before. It also didn't matter if I installed it from one link or the other.

Now I'm back here to try and resolve the issue for both possibly, but if I had to choose, I'd probably want it for at least maya 2025. Would appreciate any help on the matter...

Issues Signing In

I opened maya about a week ago and I found a 30day warning where my name is located in the top right side of the app. I went to fix the issue because I'm a student and managed to renew my license so that I can continue using it without it expiring. However, I think I was still seeing the 30day warning so that prompted me to uninstall and reinstall maya onto my machine. I used Revo Uninstaller to help get rid of it entirely.

Since then, I reinstalled maya, but now everytime I try to launch Maya 2024.2, I end up getting a window pop up. I click Sign In with Autodesk ID, but then the window closes and then nothing happens...

I checked out this link and I opened a file named MayaCLM-11-03-2024. I didn't include everything that was written in it because it seemed to be repeating itself, but the last little part read...

2024-03-11 14:34:08: ====== BEGIN MAYA CLM LICENSE DIAGNOSTICS (level 2) ======
2024-03-11 14:34:08: INFO: MAYA VERSION: Autodesk MAYA 2024.2
2024-03-11 14:34:08: INFO: Desktop Licensing Runtime Version: 7.4.2.47
2024-03-11 14:34:08: INFO: Desktop Licensing API version in Maya: 7.4.2.47
2024-03-11 14:34:08: INFO: initialize: GetInstance (Success)
2024-03-11 14:34:11: INFO: Received LicenseUpdateCallback for Maya 2024 (ADLSDK_UPDATE_REASON_LICENSE_UPDATE): NOT Authorized
2024-03-11 14:34:11: ERROR: Error Information: Maya 2024 : [IDSDK] 3005: The SSO client object acquired is invalid or null
2024-03-11 14:34:11: ERROR: adlsdkAuthorize returned with error code: ADLSDK_STATUS_LICENSE_CHECKOUT_ERROR
2024-03-11 14:34:11: ERROR: checkinLicense: unable to release authentication handle
2024-03-11 14:34:11: INFO: shutdown: normal exit

I have no idea what's going on and I need to get maya started up again to get back to work. Any help on this matter is appreciated.

Yes, when I use Revo Uninstaller, it allows me to do a clean uninstall.

However, I was able to solve the problem by making sure I installed from the correct place below.

https://www.autodesk.com/education/edu-software/overview?sorting=featured&filters=individual

Previously, I was installing Maya from the link below, but it would lead to the issues.

https://manage.autodesk.com/products

I was able to resolve the issue a couple days ago by doing the Clean Uninstall and Reinstall of Maya 2025.

It's kind of funny/bittersweet because I assumed I knew what the Clean Uninstall was and the thought of having to go into the Registry was something I didn't want to do due to the risks. Without really reading any of the steps I just went and used Revo-Uninstaller because I thought that it would be equivalent. Needless to say, it wasn't...

The program does do a lot of good, but the steps in the Clean Uninstall were different and when I checked them I realized that I still had some leftover folders/files and whatnot that needed getting disposed of. These were items that Revo just didn't take care of - for some odd reason... Maybe the Paid Version works better, but I have no idea...

Successful Method
https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Clean-uninstall.html

Failed Method
https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Software-version-2020-or-higher-crashes-after-clicking-Sign-in-with-your-Autodesk-ID.html

Mostly Failed Method apart from the last step which is to Clean Uninstall...
https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Autodesk-Maya-won-t-launch.html
