Hi,

i'm quite new to maya and i have a question concerning texture / material management.

I'm using maya to ceate a lot of assets for a game. All parts are using the nearly the same materials / textures, so i have to create them again over and over (or paste them)

Is there a way (script / plugin) to manage textures and material centralized in a "library" or something?

So i can save it to the library, apply it from there and if i need to change it the mat/tex i only need to change it in one place and not in every scenary file before exporting?

I found some stuff on google e.g. the Material Manager 5 for Maya but the descriptions where a like unclear in most cases.

So, if someone has a idea i would be thankful to hear it.
