Xgen large width splines bug

I recently started to get into maya xgen but i am having this weird problem . when creating a groomable splines i am getting this weird big cards instead of thin hairs. I even set the width to low number but that doesn't change anything. I don't know if i am doing something wrong or it is a bug. Here is the screenshot with a example of hair from maya content browser.

-we always have control over the width of the hair shapes :

-make sure this is not about units

I always recommend to using centimetre unit in Maya

I remember when I came at using 3DS MAX to MAYA I chained some setting like

world up to Z !

unit to meter ! ...

after using Maya with those settings for a long time I realized that by changing those settings I just made a lot of additional work for myself.

I didn't change any default settings in maya. I recheck it and it was at centimeters. Also the width and scale slider isn't working. First i tried changing the width when creating groomable description . Second time I tried changing after creating description. No matter what values i set it always give me same width hairs. Also the scale slider isn't working.

--is that happen only with new grooms ? do you have a old groom , before the problem? if you have it open it and see if it have the same problem.

--how is it in render?

- try using OpenGL for the viewport and re lunch Maya:

-if it doesn't work I guess your system have driver or compatibility issues.

Yeah it happena to all the grooms, whether if i generate from description or add more splines. I recently started maya from version 2020.1 and this is my first tests of xgen. It renders as it looks in the viewport, like big cards. System or drivers compatibility can be a issue but i can't be sure on this because maya has really lots of bugs and it can also be a bug. I tried yeti and ornatrix and they works Completely fine but i don't want to buy another plugins because of just a weird issue or bug.

Hi, I’m having the exact same problem. What’s strange is that it’s happening in a file that was working perfectly about a month ago. Have you found a solution yet?
