I tried using the malicious code scanner plug in for my maya 2015 (https://apps.autodesk.com/MAYA/en/Detail/Index?id=8637238041954239715) but the result is an error in the script editor.

1. Started by installing the scanner plug in for mac os.
2. Under windows>setting preferences> plugin manager I checked "Loaded" and "Autoload" for both "MayaScanner.py" and "MayaScannerCB.py"
3. When clicking File>Scan File nothing happens except an error in the Script Editor that reads:
# Error: file: /Users/Shared/Autodesk/ApplicationAddins/MayaScanner/Contents/scripts/ScanMenu.mel line 9: name 'maya' is not defined
# Traceback (most recent call last):
# File "<maya console>", line 1, in <module>
# NameError: name 'maya' is not defined #

Next I tried opening a scene and clicking File>Scene Current File the error in the Script Editor reads:
# Error: file: /Users/Shared/Autodesk/ApplicationAddins/MayaScanner/Contents/scripts/ScanMenu.mel line 14: name 'maya' is not defined
# Traceback (most recent call last):
# File "<maya console>", line 1, in <module>
# NameError: name 'maya' is not defined #

I tried restarting my system, uninstalling/reinstalling the plugin, and restarting my system again.

Not sure if anyone has had a similar experience with this security tool. Any suggestions would be appreciated! 🙂

I'm using:
Maya 2015 sp2
Mac OS 10.14 Mojave
