Maya not starting up at all

I recently tried to get back in to Maya after taking a break for a few months, but now whenever I try starting up Maya, it immediately crashes. If I go into task manager, I can briefly see the Maya icon at the top of the list for around 4 or 5 seconds after , but it always disappears afterwards. I don't get any kind of error message or crash dialogue, I don't see the splash screen or command window. I've tried restarting my computer, running with every other program closed, even uninstalling and reinstalling and it still does not work. I've looked at both FlexNet licensing services and both are running when I try to start Maya. I'd appreciate any kind of help, I haven't been able to use Maya for a few weeks now.

8GB RAM

Intel 3570k 3.4GHz
