Grid & Bezier are Hidden

Hi all,

l've just started learning Maya and working on one of the online YouTube tutorials. For some reason, in a specific saved scene l can't see my Grid or a Bezier curve anymore. I can see it in a new scene but not my current one. l've tried checking/unchecking Grid under Display. l've reset the workspace layout, prefs and grid settings. With the bezier l've tried unhiding it in both the outliner and Attribute Editor. The 'bezier' word in the outliner is also greyed out.

Hi!

The grid also needs to be enabled in Viewport to be visible.

Check in Viewport menu:

Show -> Grid (check)

The curve is hidden, select it in Outliner and use hotkey "H" to unhide it.

Thanks for that info @mspeer, that did the trick! One other question while l'm here. l messed around with the bezier curve a bit then l tried reconnecting the rocket to the curve path via 'attach to motion path' but it's giving me this error 'Error: line 0: Rocket.rotateOrder already has an input connection'.

Hi!

If attributes are already connected to other nodes you need to remove the connection first, for example manually in Node Editor, or in Channel Box or Attribute Editor with right-click "Break connection".

Thanks for that! Another error l'm getting is 'Error: line 1: Cannot create ubercam. Camera sequencer shots must have the same duration in sequence and source time.' Do you know how to resolve this? @mspeer

Hi!

Please make sure the camera clips are not scaled (Scale should be "1"/"100%").
