As the title says, is it possible to somehow use pose estimation data to animate skeleton of an animal? I am writing my master thesis on ways I can animate small underwater animals and I was wondering if I can somehow apply pose estimation data, extracted from video, maybe in a similar way I would use motion capture data for human skeleton. I do have access to Qualisys, a program we used to prepare motion capture data for Maya, but I am clueless if I can somehow use it with pose estimation data. I am choosing between LiftPose3D and DeepLabCut for pose estimation.

Any help will be appreciated!

Maybe ask on the Tech-Art forum. http://tech-artist.org/

Or the "Ask a Rigger" Discord.
