I change the reverse of the object but it is back to normal

Hi!

Try Modify -> Bake Pivot.

Also make sure in the Tool Settings the Axis Orientation is set to "Object".

Hi,

By default the custom axis orientation is a tool setting that will be reset when you change your selection.

If you want the custom axis change to persist then you need to use Modify > Bake Pivot.

Alternatively, Maya 2022 has a Bake Pivot Orientation setting in the transform tools which will auto bake the pivot orientation when you change it.

Hi!

In contrast to the values shown in the screenshot of @brentmc you need to set Axis Orientation to "Object" instead of "World".

This has to work, if not please provide a new video showing the new workflow and the settings you are using.
