Dear council of wisdom,

I have encountered a strange issue;

-where the particles stops procucing around a certain frame and an error occours ="// Warning: Nucleus evaluation skipped, frame change too large //"

All particles are fine and works perfectly in the start of the scene, but if I move the keys for spawning them, they dont show up and the error is met.

Good to know:
It is an instanced light geometry i use for the particles, (around 5000 objects).
There is Timewarp in the scene?
Maya 2016

Best regards Troels,

Hi !

This may be because the nucleus node is not calculating all frames (He is skipping frames). Or that you're dragging the timeline manually or because the preferences of "Time Slider" - "Playback Speed" is not as "Play Every Frame"

I have helped you !!!

Hi WBolfe,

Thank you for the inputs,

Sorry, I forgot to mention; that I of course have taken my precaution with this issue and googled everything I could get my eyes on.

I always have my, Play Every Frame-setting on,
And I play the scene from the startframe all the time., never scrub in the timeline, (in this scene, particular).

The problem is that this is just a warning, because this node controling forces (gravity and wind), ground plane attributes, and time and scale attributes. And it all works without this warning depends on your computer.

In short, it depends on the complexity of the scene and how many particles or nCloth he would calculate by frame.

Good luck !
