Setting a initial state in a Bifrost Simulation

Hi folks,

I have a Bifrost simulation where I want to set an initial state after the liquid has settled.

I came across a tutorial for this in the Autodesk documentations however these options are missing in my latest version of Maya. Below is a link to the tutorial.

Please see the image where I select the liquid container and go to the options.

Is there anything I'm doing wrong and is there another way around this issue?

Hi!

Please update to Maya 2017 update 3 and reset your preferences.
Rename the folder prefs in folder 2017 to something like prefs_backup, or to reset everything, the folder 2017 to 2017_backup. Maya creates new folders. Detailed at:

Is there any way to check which version I am on at the moment? I use it on my MAC.

I did a fresh install already last week, so I am assuming it would be the latest update.

If you are on Maya 2017 update 3 do a reset of the preferences.

I reinstalled Maya on the Mac OS twice and deleted the preferences as well. I don't think that the latest versions are available for the trial and educational customers. I also noticed that the latest downloads were created in June 2016 - see below.

Tried the same on a crappy windows machine and it installed update 3 via the updates manager.

I have emailed Autodesk support to see if they can provide a resolution for this issue.
