Greetings,

I have a few students using Mac M1 computers with 16GB of RAM and the latest operating system (Sonoma). They have all been able to set 1 or 2 keyframes and then the rig separates from the mesh body. This has happened with multiple rigs (body mechanics rig, ultimate bony rig, and beefy rig). I tried reinstalling earlier versions of Maya - 2023 along with 2025.2. Both are having this problem. Generally it is just the controls that are separating, but it can be the body parts as well as in this picture from someone who had a similar problem back in 2021.

These rigs work fine on our M2 laptops and on our M1 Mac Studios. I would greatly appreciate some help as I can't teach this class without using rigs!

Hello,

If you disable GPU Override in the Evaluation section of the Animation preferences, does that resolve the problem?

I'm seeing about reproducing this and will provide more info. But, in the meantime, this is a good first test to try.
