Can Interactive Playback record as keyframes?

Is Interactive Playback just for previs purposes, or is it possible to make it record the animation from it, e.g. for moving an nCloth flag about manually and recording the animation as cache or an object's translation movement as keyframes?

I am using Maya 2017.

Hi!

Interactive Playback is just for playback there are no recording options.

Hi, you can use the MEL command recordAttr to maybe do what you want. You find more info from this thread:
