Maya crash when scrubbing in timeline!

Maya 2017 crashes when I scrub through the timeline, I do have installed 3rd or 4th update. I end up with ending the program by ctrl+alt+delete.

This could be the evaluation mode problem. Try changing it to "DG" or if its DG then to "Parallel". I had the same issue when I was starting Maya 2017 for the first time.

Is it possible to fix the Parallel evaluation crash somehow or it's a maya bug and we need to wait for an update?

My timeline simply stop to work when it's more than 3-4 clips imported in time editor and seems like parallel evaluation is the only option that could help but it's crashing all the time. So there is no way for me to use time editor at all 😞

I think there is something with the assets we're using. I used to have this problem before. I was using an old Rig. But after a few days I re-rigged the character with Maya 2017 and I have no problems while using Parallel Evaluation now.

I believe all my assets are Maya's 2018 default HumanIK rig, but I also remember when it works without crash. So I'll try to figure it out, thanks!

OK, guys, I spent a lot of time searching and seems like finally I found something!

Parallel evolution crashed when you have a root bone as a parent of hip bone. But when you take out your skeleton hierarchy and keep it just near the root bone - it works. I test couple of my old problematic scenes on different laptops and it works! Maybe it's not the only reason to crash, but this trick help me and I hope it could help someone else.

Please file a detailed step by step report of how to replicate this behavior. Also please include information about your system, such as hardware, OS, Maya version, and other installed software.

Non of solution here didn't work for me, after all possible testings i manually backup and delete each file in maya\2019\prefs\ and my problem was in file userPrefs.mel, simple delete that file, close maya and start again, maya will create new userPrefs.mel and everything work justine. Hope this will work for someone too.
