Hey there, not 100% sure... but I feel what you're looking for is as simple as an Inverse kinematic function?

An IK is what you need to add and it'll create a locator, connect the controller to drive that locator and you're set. You will also need a controller at a good distance from the "elbow" and connect that controller to the IK locator you made and make a pole vector constraint!

Hope that truly helps you out! If you need any additional help in rigging from the very basics to more advanced techniques, I do have a 14+ hour course with over 120+ lectures that covers every single thing in rigging!

RIGGING COURSE

Maybe I'm looking for the wrong thing (at least by name) but I've seen them before where a controller allows the rotation of a specific part such as a knee but I can't find anything on how to do it.

So my problem (see attached) is that I want to set up a controller so I can rotate the back of the wing but can't figure out how. Is it as simple as adding more joints to the back of the wing or is there a better way?

Thanks, that also allowed me to set up a knee bend when I lifted the leg which I didn't have prior.
