As far as I know, all CCs in your contract are available to any user on your contract (usually just you if it's your own subscription), and available to any tool that uses CCs. It's a long-standing request to be able to assign credits to specific users or tools, but I haven't seen that feature available yet.

To help understand a small part of it, here are some definitions:

Contract - This is what holds the CCs. A contract can have a number of user accounts assigned to it. If you are the contract manager (you are for an individual contract, or you may have a contract manager for a multi-user contract), you can purchase credits and assign entitlements to the user accounts associated with the contract. For example, if the contract has Lighting Analysis for Revit entitlement, the user may need that assigned to their account.

Use manage.autodesk.com to manage the contract and/or individual accounts.

User/Account - On an individual subscription contract, this is essentially the same as a 'contract'. For multi-user contracts, when you go to manage.autodesk.com with your user login, if you are not the contract manager, you won't be able to manage CCs, but you will see your entitlements.

Use accounts.autodesk.com to see your account info, and you'll also see a link to Manage (manage.autodesk.com) on that page if you are a contract manager or have an individual contract/subscription you'll be able to manage all users' entitlements, or you'll see your entitlements for yourself (like Insight or Lighting Analysis for Revit).

100 credits is the standard initial credits for new users. You also need to have entitlement to the Lighting Analysis service. You may not have this automatically for a new account. In Products and Services, check that 'Lighting Analysis for Revit' is listed. If it is not, ask your contract manager to add this service, or if this is an individual account, you will need to be using a subscription that includes Revit subscription benefits.

Have to agree. Why is this so complicated. I purchased cloud credits yesterday and I cannot find how to assign the 100 credits to the only product I have on trial which is Recap Pro and Recap Photo. Shouldn't the credits just be assigned automatically, especially if I'm working in that app and navigate to purchase credits according to Autodesk's instructions. Now I"m on forums trying to figure out how to access my credits. I followed direction on the order receipt. This should be so easy to do.

Jack Tunnicliffe

Java Post Production

Thanks for the very comprehensive response. I assure you this all goes way over my head, but I did take the time to read it all. I have a tiny little production company and we were experimenting with Recap on a trial basis to see if this would work for our Photogrammetry needs. It appears that Autodesk is much more of an enterprise set-up for big companies. I am an individual trying to use the product and render tests. When I ran out of cloud credits I purchased more but it seems they will not work with a trial version of the product. I think we have to lower our expectations as to what kind of product we can get into for our Photogrammetry work but thanks.
Ah interesting.

Not sure if you are using the Insight Lighting or Energy tools, but fyi the Energy analysis is free, even on trial, and smaller runs of Lighting analysis are free as well, so you don't always need credits.

There are quite a few good benefits of a subscription license to Revit, and some short-term licensing options, so might be able to talk with your reseller to find something that gives you more time to try things out for a reasonable investment. I'm only a contractor for Autodesk, so no corporate interests, but glad to help any way I can.

David
I try to run the analysis, it doesn't do it, take the credits and ask me again for more credits.

At first, it showed I had 25 and now that I have 0.

I don't know how to solve this.
