Learning to use the Inventor object model - Inventor API

Does anyone know of a good book or online resource to learn Inventor API programming?

I would like to be able to know exactly how to navigate the Inventor object model and specifically how to use it to the best of my capabilities.

I studied programming many years ago with VB5 and later on C#, but I think a good book that explains well how to program the Inventor API would really assist me. I have written quite a few useful ilogic programs but that can only take you so far.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The best existing resource is the Inventor API help, which you can access from the help menu, as shown below.

I'm planning on releasing a series of training videos that go into detail on all aspects of the API. I don't currently have an ETA on when they'll start becoming available but it is something I'm working on in between other projects.

This is the online API programming help, you can also find how to launch the local API help from the page, and also some blog links from it.

Below circled in red is the content for Inventor API Programming, I think you can firstly read the User's Manual to get the basic concepts for Inventor APIs and try the sample codes in them:
