Content Center family with user defined iProperty of unknown origin

Hi all,

first off, I'm not sure if this belong to customization or not.

We have a weird problem: we have a custom content center (not done by us), and in one of the families (which links to standard Inventor DIN content center family), everythings looks fine, it adds 3 user defined properties to the member parts, but upon creation of files, a fourth iproperty is also added. It seems like someone tried but made a typo in the property name or something. But I just don't know where this property comes from. It doesn't seem to be in the tables, columns, parameters, etc. I thought it might come from the family's template file, so I replaced it with one that does not have this fourth property, but it didn't help.

Any ideas what to look for? I don't really know a whole lot about content center.

why does it matter? it's a user defined property of string. let's call it "biek". there are three more and they are clearly defined and work as supposed. one of them is called "Bliek". my guess is someone at some point in time tried to do the "Bliek" but made a typo or something.

If the content center part is placed as standard.

Check in the content center files location and see does one of the files have the iproperty. If it does temporarily remove it, don’t delete, generate a new file of the same member. Does the iproperty persist?
Try to look for the custom property mapping in content center template and just delete save and remap. Haven’t tried this but trial and error might get it. Or place as custom and replace with a new parameter name and replace template and ensure it updates correctly. It sounds like the template file isn’t flushing out the memory of the old custom property.
Can you check if there is ilogic generating the iproperty?

I tried that already. Generated a new member that hasn't been created before. The mystery iProperty is in there. Also tried deleting existing member and regenerating it. No good. Also tried generating a member as custom user part and deleted the mystery property from it, and used it as a new template file. It didn't check for remapping and doesn't even allow it. (no buttons on the property mapping fields.)
And no iLogic, checked that too.

I would double-check the Family Properties under Parameter Mapping tab -> Template Parameters tab in the Template Parameters column. If you see it shown as "Custom:<name>" for a Table Column, that means it's already in the Family Template, and you're just setting its value from the table. If not, double check all of your column properties in the Family Table. Use the iProperties Columns Only filter to narrow down where to look. I can't think of any other way where it would get added.

Here it is. I copied the family in question into a new library and tested: it still makes that unknown property "teik".

This is a strange one indeed. In order to fix it you need to delete the "Teilk" column and add it back with the same configuration. You'll also need to replace the family template with one that has those custom iProperties deleted. I assume there was a glitch that left extra "code" in the .idcl file that set two iProperties for that column, and Inventor doesn't thoroughly verify column configuration when making changes. Maybe @johnsonshiue can pass along your file to the Content Center team for analysis.

Remove this Column

And replace template without the Custom properties works for me.
