iLogic form alignment bug

I think I encountered a bug while creating an iLogic form. I'm trying to make 20 columns with 4 rows of data.

At first I tried to make 4 rows and then have the 20 fields in these rows.

This was the result in the form editor:

But when I opened it afterwards it looked like this:

Then I tried making 20 groups, each with 4 fields, and place these in one row.

The form editor looks like this, so I don't think I did anything weird to cause this:

Has anyone else ever seen this behavior or is this just me?

@johnsonshiue Have you ever seen this or could you check this out? I can send you the files if necessary.

The form does has it's own mind.

Try move everything out of the Group and back in order.

I already tried that and it didn't work. I also don't want to recreate the whole form from scratch because it just takes a very long time, especially entering all the enabling parameters and things like that.

I recreated the form from scratch but got the exact same result. @johnsonshiue Can you weigh in on this?

If you have more then 15 Group in row and Group

you need too put row in the same level at Forms

It seems like you're right, but it doesn't really make any sense to me. @MjDeck is this by design and if so, what's the logic behind it? Or is it a bug and this is just a workaround?

No one has problably

tried that combination

20 groups after each other and row

when i removed the upper group (iproperties) the

form also worked

it's workaround

Hi @mat_hijs - it's not by design. It's probably a bug. There can be problems when you have a large number of controls in a single row. Have you found a successful workaround?
Which version of Inventor are you using? Can you post a sample part?

In the long term, we should add a Grid layout element to the form designer.

It appears to still behave like this in IV 2025.

Notice the weird gap between the second and thirs rows of buttons?

I tried to move the label down but there is still some weird visual gap if I compare it to the General section where I tried to do the same thing

Autodesk?

@mgrenier1 - I think you are seeing a different problem than the original poster. The issue you are seeing looks like internal number INVGEN-83398.

You can probably work around it and get the rows to stay together by adding an Empty Space (Espace Vide) at the end of each group. The Empty Space should be within the group, but not within the last row. It should be the last thing in the group.

It kinda works but just makes everything worse, the whole idea was to try and make it more compact.

Sorry, my mistake. Instead of adding an Empty Space in each group, please try adding a single Empty Space at the bottom of the form (outside of any group).
