Adding Welding Symbol Through API

Hello,

I am automating a drawing and I had trouble accessing the welding symbol through the API. I am currently doing it through a user customed sketch symbol and I read somewhere that up to Inventor 2014, the welding symbol was not accessible through API. My questions are:

1) Is it true that up until Inventor 2014 the welding symbol cannot be accessed through API? Does the Inventor 2015 do the job?

2) Is there another way other than using a sketch symbol for the weld?

Hi John,

It's easy to check if an object is supported by the API:

Unfortunately, it seems like it is not supported yet. 😞

Using a skecthed symbol might still be the best workaround.
