    <description>&lt;P&gt;If I import this step file of a threaded rod that is 6"&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;What is the easiest way to make it 4"?&amp;nbsp; 8"?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I dont see where we are able to send an attached file but here is the link.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am looking for a best practices&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;What I do know is split the threaded rod at the chamfer and then extrude and then combine the chamfer but it sound like way too many steps.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I guess I dont understand why I cant just drag the face of the solid 2 inches out or in.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thoughts?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="https://www.mcmaster.com/3313N26/" target="_blank"&gt;https://www.mcmaster.com/3313N26/&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;You can use direct edit.. You just need to select the end and the chamfer face.. Enjoy!!&lt;/P&gt;

I dont know if its like a close fraternity of pro Inventor vs all others or what but I frequent many forums on many things and this is arguably the strongest support group going.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
