Corner Seam creating strange extra bits

Hey there.

I've seen some poeple have a similiar issue, but either the fixes for them don't help here or their problem was slightly different.. I'm trying to put a corner seam between these 2 edges, and although the seam applies properly it leaves these strange little bits from the bend radius behind.. changing the bend transisitons / reliefs seems to do absolutely nothing (in both the default sheet metal settings, and in the corner seams settings). The two pieces that the seams are going between are seperate solids if it makes any difference. Any ideas?

Does it shoes the same when you make flat pattern.

Yes, they appear even in the flat pattern.

I'll have to remove the detail from this model or build you another one that does the same thing. I'll get onto that now.

Try to DELETE the small faces with HEAL option on.

Hi! I have seen this behavior before. Usually it is geometry and relief type specific. Please share the file here. Forum experts can help take a look and propose a better workflow.

@CCarreiras I can't seem to get into the heal / fix environment.. How do I go about this?

Workflow suggestions would be awesome as this is a little slow.. Only because of all the fiddly stuff like corner seams.

Also a different way to do 'Face13' & 'Face17' wold be great, as I'm splitting this with sketches with GapSize because I need them to be seperate solids!

Some things need a more "manually" edit...

Tip: You can also use the tool "direct" to do some direct edits...

Hi Joel,

Many thanks for sharing the files! I took a quick look. Sheet Metal commands may make assumption based on the local geometry and the given operation. It may lead to unneeded faces. I agree with Carlos. Based on the geometry and your modeling technique, it is better to use Delete Face -> Heal to clean up the faces and edges.
