Auto save

I have auto save switched off in my application settings but annoyingly it keeps flashing up the message every 30 minutes, so I go back to check the settings in application options and despite me unchecking the auto save box it's mysteriously checked again. Any ideas how I can switch it off for good?

Sometimes Inventor crashes or is not closed properly, and your changes to settings do not get saved. Another possibility is if you had (not recommended) been working with two instances of the Inventor application, and the last one closed did not have that setting off. You can verify under Task Manager if there is any Inventor process running to End Task and finally close your Inventor instance with the changes, or simply reboot, try changing the setting again, and close Inventor to save that.

There is a bug in Inventor thats been around for 5 or so years where it will turn itself back on no matter what you check..

I've been haunted by it for years..

Ah, thanks, a five year old issue on software that's updated every year, someone's not doing their job properly!

What happens if you change the reminder time to a period longer than your workday?
Does that stick, or does that reset itself as well?

I tried that last week, set it to the maximum of 9999 hours but it still changes back.

Pretty solid bug then....
Hope it gets fixed sometime, but it's just a reminder so other than the popup it isn't really doing anything and you can probably get used to ignoring it...
