Problem with Handel Gothic font

I've installed the Handel Gothic.TTF font but the lower case 'p' won't emboss.

This font has been specified for use on one of our existing products that was originally designed on a different CAD package.

Any suggestions to get it to work in Inventor would be appreciated.

Could you attach your font here, or a sample file with a test of lowercase 'p' in a sketch?
A dirty workaround if you do not have a TTF font editor and this letter will not appear in many places is to skip the letter then extrude it as needed:

Unfortunately the 'p' won't extrude either.

I used Illustrator to change the text to outlines to see where the problem lies.

It's a really tiny overshoot on the inside of the lowercase "p" that causes the intersection, so the fault really lies with the font itself.

What you could do is create a sketch symbol for this particular letter and use that in conjunction with the font...

(if you want the converted geometry, let me know and i'll clean it up and post it for you.)

Attached cleaned up outline dwg, it was very little work anyway.

Just import it into a sketch and turn it into a sketch symbol, that way you should be able to scale it to the rest of your text.

I've downloaded an open source font editor; so now you've let me know what I'm looking for, I'll have a go at repairing the font.
