We're 5 engineers here on a shared network location (standalone workstations).

No Vault, we use this free utility to find anything within the .iam's. Finding the remaining related files is "easy" after that:

https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/search_my_files.html

I have a customer who's one and only Inventor person left the company, they would like to know of the best way to find all the Inventor related files on the person's local computer. From there they would like to get them all into vault, here is where things will get tricky. I'm 99.9% sure that some of the files that would be going into vault would have the same file names as those that are already in vault so not sure how to take care of that fiasco. Would it be best to create a fresh project file on the local computer and then from there get all the Inventor related files (multiple project files) moved into that new project file including templates, content center, style library, library components etc etc?

Probably a good post for the Vault forum.
Do your Vault settings enforce unique file names? If yes, you are looking at a lot more manual work to bring this in... verifying which version of common files between different projects is the newer Revision.
Was this user leveraging different Design Data and templates for each project? If not, that makes it easier for you to sum everything up into one project and construct subfolders for each within a single workspace managed by one project file. It would take some re-linking when opening the main assemblies/layouts for each project, but this would be a neat way to store things. The Design Data and Templates can also go into Vault into folders beside the projects, or within each project subfolder if they're individual to those.
Another question is if the Content Center is custom for any project or only standard libraries were used. If you don't have that information I would try opening any sample project to check the IPJ file and see if there was any C.C. added to it. All the library IDCL files (which contain the tables, but not generated files) should also be grabbed from here to save: C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Inventor 2022\Content Center\Libraries
