Reference your method, i know how to make the transparent to solid.

but if i have a *.igs that is assembly, should i also apply the method one by one ?

1000 parts,doing 1000 step.

is there a more convenient way to convert it?

Hi experts,

The model is transparent when opening *.igs .

Although i can edit it every model, canceling "translucent".

It's too slow to work.

How to adjust the setting?

thanks

That happens because your imported content is missing gaps/faces, and can only be interpreted as a collection of semi-connected surfaces (composite).
IGS typically comes very flawed when downloaded from vendor websites and even from big customers exporting to their suppliers... all you can do is hope for the best and repair the geometry as much as you can. Consider acquiring the geometry in a different format if you can.

When importing, make sure you select all entities (solids and surfaces) to be acquired from the IGS file, then do your best in the repair environment (right-click the composite/surface/solid and pick "repair geometry"). Then use "Find Errors" and "Heal Errors", until you can use "Stitch" to try to convert it into a water-tight SOLID geometry.

Even if Stitch fails it should give you a list of free edges and gaps. You can simply carry the stitch operation to transform the composite into a "quilt", which will have some errors listed out for you to fix:

The sample I used above was downloaded from this site:

https://www.novotechnik.de/en/downloads/cad-data/iges/

Tools...application options...Part tab... check the "Opaque Surfaces" checkbox..

THEN reimport your model from igs.

Still going to be surfaces.. but no longer transparent.
