Carrying features from assembly to component

Is there a way of carrying a feature (extrusions etc) from the top level assembly through to the components it affects?

As far as I am aware, there is no way to do what you want. I can see it being difficult to do as well because your feature will most likely lose its defining sketch constraints. Now if you'd like a work around, depending on the feature you are trying to accomplish, you may be able to copy the sketch over to the individual parts and use that same sketch in the part.

Out of the box there is no way to do this, however there is an add-in which does just this. You can install it here:

However, this app isn't developed any further since Inventor 2020. You can install it and follow the instructions in this thread to make it compatible with Inventor 2022 (assuming that's the version you use):

You can also use CopyObject+Sculpt.
