Switching projects, open file, error.

IV 2021, when switching between projects inventor displays error that there is still a file open, yet nothing is shown open.

I can use the close all, but that is a work around.

Any idea how to cure this problem?

Are you running vault?

It sounds like a script in the background, are you stopping ILogic rules/routine?

We encounter this issue all the time, and aren't sure why. Our best guess is that one of our VBA macros is holding on to a file that is not "visible".

No VBA routines.

Just regular inventor files, some multi body solids, ipt, iam and idw files.

This is interesting. Most likely a bug in Inventor, but in my experience has been very difficult to reproduce.

Are you working with any iParts/iAssemblies, or files with model states?

Hi @hosford

Typically this happens when some dependent document is still in memory and not closed when the parent referring document is closed. Its mostly a dataset issue. If you can consistently reproduce this, could you please provide some steps and your dataset (iam,ipt,idw etc.). We will be happy to take a look at it.
