Hi Tim,

Your effort is good. To see, what can be done slightly different - please have a look at the attached part in IV2020 format.
Open up Parameters DB in both files (yours and mine) and compare the amount of entries in both of them. The less entries - the better. 🙂

Nice slot short cut tip, thanks for the multiple reviews.

Pretty cool catching a review by you considering stumbling across your BORN workflow video on youtube sent me down this road.

I noticed in your assignment 4 that you created the vertical flange with short sketch lines laid on top of other lines. I used this technique in assignment 4 as well. As an experiment, I removed the short lines and extruded the verticle flange. It seemed to have no issue extruding without the short boundary lines.

Are the overlaid boundary lines recommended to help Inventor discover the correct geometry boundary but not necessarily required depending on the complexity of the boundary to be extruded?

Nope.

I used the Rectangle command - faster than Line command, just two clicks.

The Rectangle command just happens to create extra lines that I wasn't really after but it is faster. One thing I can do with these extraneous lines though is make them equal.

In newer versions of Inventor the profile selection has improved where extra geometry is not needed to define profiles.
