Hi!

The placement of Pinned is ruled by the direction of gravity.
The Pinned constraints applied when no displacement and free rotation is allowed on beam or node, so i believe is not dependent of the direction, all degrees of freedom are fixed.

As a workaround, you can switch temporarily the gravity direction to have all Pinned constrains in the direction you like (despite this is only a visual detail), and at the end, place/edit the gravity force back to the correct direction.
