Hi! I am not aware of any major issue with iMate. The error usually is related to missing geometry helping define the iMate. Or, the iMate definition has been changed after the match. Please share an example that exhibits the behavior. I would like to understand it better.

Many thanks!

Hello all,

Recently migrated from Invenntor 2018 to Inventor 2021. While opening existing assembly, which has imates showing error. So i delete that existing parts with imate, recreate constrain using imate, after that save and close the particular document.

After a moment, when i try to open the same assembly, it showing same error once.

is migration the reason? or i missed some steps during migration for imates?

how to truble shoot the error.

Imate Result failed to find an imate definition.Use Edit to reselect the iMate definition

Error image was attached.
