Hi Vince,

Or, you can simply right-click on Inventor icon on the desktop -> Properties -> Compatibility -> check "Run as Admin." This will allow Inventor to run as an Admin user without having to change your user profile.

Many thanks!

Greetings

I designed a Barn Door. All parts are up to date. I opened my Assembly and clicked on one of the parts to open it so I can change the appearance. I saved the changes. When I try to save the Assembly, it asked me to Save Copy As. Not sure why, but when I do this under a new name and save, it once again asks me to Save Copy As. I cannot get away from the Save Copy As.

Thank you

Vince

Hi Vince,

This usually means Inventor isn't allowed to save the file back to the disc. It could be Windows User Profile issue or a privilege issue. Try running Inventor as Admin. Does it work better?

Many thanks!
