Hi! These are very interesting questions. Let me explain the major difference between the two. The first one is projecting all the sketch geometry from the given 2D Sketch to a new 3D Sketch. Any new sketch geometry added to the 2D Sketch will automatically project to the same 3D Sketch. It is like the 3D Sketch is linked to the 2D Sketch.

The second method offers more atomic level control. You need to select a curve in the 2D Sketch to project (as opposed to entire 2D Sketch).

You may consider the first method automating the process in the second method. To break the link between the 3D Sketch and the 2D Sketch (method 1), you may right-click on the "Project from Sketch" icon in the browser -> Break link.

Many thanks!

constrains"command in the context menu under the browser or view, the "delete constrains" command no longer exists in the context menu, which makes sense. But after that， when I changed the shape of the source(FF) and clicked Manage/Update, the product (KK) still changed accordingly. Why? (If you do this after using method 2, you can break the link between the source (PP) and product (WW) so that WW no longer follows PP. )
