Drawing Outline Inconsistencies

I've been creating some ISO drawings but have noticed a graphical inconsistency between the outlines of my assemblies as below. I want them to look as the drawing on the left but can't figure out where the difference is coming from. Drawing view component and display options are identical on each view.

I am new to Inventor so could be missing something obvious.

Any help appreciated. Thanks in advanced.

Is this supposed to be one body or is it supposed to be two bodies?

Attach your *.ipt file(s) here.

In the image it appears to be one body.

In the real world I would expect this to be two bodies.

If it is two bodies - is one placed such that there is interference between the two bodies?

It is modelled as one body, you are correct though that in the real world it would be two bodies welded together but we don't need that level of fidelity in this context. files attached as requested.

It takes no more time to Mirror Body than it does to mirror feature (and you missed features - Extrude2 and Pattern).

See Attached (2022) file.

If for some reason you do not want as multiple bodies - don't select the New Solid or be sure to select ALL of the features to mirror.

BTW - the i in a circle indicates that you have an issue with your sketch. (Pink when editing the sketch = sick.)

I Don't see how this would solve my drawing issue though unless I'm missing something.

Attach your new *.ipt file and your new drawing (*.idw or *.dwg) file here.

And Attach these files...

Hi Thomas,

I think the difference is the Transparent setting in Drawing. The one on the right has Transparent option turned on. The one on the left does not, so that the shaded view looks very similar to the 3D model shaded view.
