Did you constrain the mirrored parts to the source parts after the mirror operation? Inventor does not create such constraints automatically during a mirror operation.

Hello,

I'm having an issue trying to make constraints of mirrored parts work the moment I change the position of the assembly.
I need some washer to follow the pin movement the moment the pin translate. Everything works for the "original" parts, the mirrored parts otherwise seems always grounded, also if I uncheck "grounded" when creating the mirrored parts. I'm using the "reuse" when mirroring.

Someone can help me understand and fix this matter?

Thanks,

Andrea

Hi! Steve is right. When mirroring components, only the constraints existing within the mirror participants will be copied to the other side. Any constraint between the mirror participants and non-participants is not copied.

You will need to use Symmetry constraints to ensure the mirror side moves accordingly.

Many thanks!
